And although his writing style is far wordier than that found in my usual light-novels, every single page pulls you further into the crevices of his dark world. The author, Hideyuki Kikuchi, is a fantastic writer that paints a particularly vivid picture of Tokyo's seedy night life. And trust me, if you make the same exceptions this time around that I did, then you will probably find yourself equally rewarded. This isn't really the sort of blurb that normally gets my blood racing, but knowing the anime quite well, I was pretty certain that I would enjoy this read.
